Tired of paying full price for those little 1lb propane bottles? They are very easy to refill at a fraction of the cost. You just need an adapter to connect it to a larger propane tank.

The adapters are readily available at hardware stores and online shopping outlets. I bought one for about $7 on Amazon. It easily attaches to the larger 20lb tank, then the small bottle attaches to that. When you open the valve on the larger tank, it fills the bottle.

For best results, turn the larger tank upside down, or at least on its side at an angle that brings the liquid propane down to the valve. You’ll hear the sound of the propane transferring. When it stops, turn the valve off on the larger tank and remove the 1lb bottle. Voila, good to go.
